Build a tracking link your reports can understand.

Add consistent UTM values to a destination URL, keep the query parameters that are already there, and copy the finished link. Everything happens in this browser tab.

1 · Name the campaign

Start with the three essentials.

Add optional Analytics parameters

Naming check

Small conventions prevent split reports.

Lowercase and hyphens: the generated values are normalized so “Summer Sale” becomes summer-sale.

Preserve the destination: the builder keeps unrelated query parameters and replaces only UTM parameters you are setting.

Keep personal data out: do not place names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal data in UTM values.

Use with care

A clean tag is useful only when the destination and campaign are real.

Google Analytics recommends using source, medium, and campaign when adding campaign parameters manually. This tool formats the link; it does not confirm that your analytics property, ads, or destination page are configured correctly.

Use truthful channel and campaign names. Do not add tracking values to misrepresent an ad, bypass a platform's policy, or collect personal data.
