The planner uses one simple ratio: sample thickness ÷ comics in the sample. It subtracts your own total divider thickness and handling clearance from the measured inside length, then rounds down to a whole-comic capacity. It rounds box count up so the final group has room.

BCW, for example, lists both internal dimensions and an approximate 150–175 bagged-and-boarded capacity for one short comic box. That variation is why this page starts from your matching sample instead of claiming a universal comic thickness.

This planner does not authenticate, grade, value, insure, recommend storage materials, assess humidity or light, determine safe stacking, confirm a box fits every comic format, or guarantee preservation.
