One board foot equals 144 cubic inches. With length entered in feet and thickness and width in inches, one board is thickness × width × length ÷ 12 board feet. This page multiplies that number by the quantity you enter.
Enter the actual measured thickness and width for the lumber you are considering. Nominal labels, surfacing, defects, kerf, cut layout, waste, grade, moisture, availability, tax, delivery, and supplier pricing can change what you need or pay.
